Help with OxiTalk
Write to us at info@oxisoft.io or through oxisoft.io/contact. Bugs and feature ideas are welcome as GitHub issues.
Signing in
OxiTalk signs in to an existing Matrix account. Enter your homeserver (for example matrix.org, or your own server), your username and your password. To create an account, use your homeserver's sign-up page; the app itself does not register accounts.
Calls
Calls use the call service your homeserver offers (MatrixRTC with LiveKit, the same one Element Call uses). If calls do not start, ask your server's operator whether a call service is set up. Settings › Server shows what your server offers.
Encrypted messages on a new device
To read older encrypted messages on a new phone or computer, verify the new device from one you already use (compare emoji), or enter your recovery key in Settings › Account › Encryption.
Reporting abuse and blocking people
Tap a message (on a computer, hover it and open the ··· menu) and choose Report to send it to your homeserver's moderators; you can ignore the sender in the same step. On a person's profile you can report or ignore them. Ignored people's messages are hidden, and Settings › Account › Ignored users lists them so you can undo it. Content on Matrix is moderated by each homeserver's operator; OxiSoft does not run the servers you chat on.
Deleting your data
Logging out of an account removes that account's data from the device. Messages and the account itself live on your homeserver; see the privacy policy.
